Founded in 1397, Spaten is one of Munich's six legendary major breweries and a central participant in the annual Oktoberfest festival. Headquartered in the heart of Bavaria, it is credited with significant historical innovations, such as testing the first steam engine in Bavaria and developing the world's first refrigeration system for brewing. The brewery adheres strictly to the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law), using only malt, hops, and water to craft its globally exported lagers and ales.
